As the Sr Data Analyst, you will act as the Analytical expert and will provide analytic leadership to support Government Program operational reporting and analytics, planning, forecasting, machine learning, and process improvements. You'll work closely with business leaders to develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help Government Operation fulfill its mission.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help the business achieve its business objectives
  • Support operational analytics, machine learning and process improvement data deep dive, identify and execute on new opportunities for increases in efficiencies and performance
  • Support data governance and stewardship work streams
  • Formulate hypothesis, develop queries and models to evaluate hypothesis and formulate solutions to drive process and performance improvement
  • Develop visionary and creative analytic solutions to measure business performance; identify / quantify drivers, risks and opportunities and define solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities
  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, projects and / or approaches

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in advanced analytics and big data sciences (Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in reporting, advanced analysis, data management, machine learning and predictive data sciences
  • 5+ years of experience working with SQL, Python, Pandas, R, SAS, MongoDB, Tableau
  • 5+ years of experience with the landscape of data science methods, including data collection, data cleaning and validation, data aggregation and data transformation
  • 5+ years of experience delivering and translating appropriate business needs into data science analysis approaches explaining these concepts and results to non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate key successes on business solutions derived from analysis, insights and deep learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced analytics degree
  • Web scraping experience, API, web design (HTML/CSS), data modeling, ETL, JavaScript, D3.js, neural networks, deep learning, geo-mapping with leaflet.js, big data in the cloud
  • Project management and operational (claims, call center, membership, etc.) experience
  • Analysis and machine learning experience within managed care/health insurance industry experience in government programs, and/or finance
  • Analytic thought leadership with skills in developing innovative and creative analytic solutions to complex problem
  • Solid business acumen and critical thinking ability
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate, identify and diagnose problems and make recommendations
