The Database Administrator is responsible for database development and will support tasks related to building, testing, and supporting the databases development through production. Monitor and ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security. Analyze, solve, and correct issues. This position will require excellent communication and well-developed interpersonal skills to aid users, management and coordinate with technicians and programmers.


Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain new and existing Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• Designs databases and ensures database design complies with database strategies.

• Assist with complex SQL queries for Data Analytics.

• Performs database testing, tracks, and corrects defects.

• Determines Database requirements for projects.

• Reviews SQL code and provides tuning suggestions.

• Provides user management and DBMS security support.

• Ensure database backup and recovery for Disaster Recovery.

• Build and manage Company Data Dictionary.

• Manage user and system access


Qualifications

• Experience 4 + years in Microsoft SQL Server Administration, Installing, configuring, and maintaining new and existing Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• Familiar with Microsoft SQL Encryption/Decryption in DR and secure connectivity.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas in clear and concise terms as part of reports and recommendations shared with employees and executives throughout the company.

• Possess superior organizational skills with the ability to organize logically and effectively, leading to better database performance.

• Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and determine which data is relevant to performance.

• Able to keep up with rapid changes to the field providing creative and innovative ideas to develop new procedures for collection, storage security and application.

• Should be business focused with a keen understanding of business objectives, strategies, processes, and indicators that drive profit and business growth.

• Skilled at resolving issues related to data integrity, backup and cybersecurity, with the goal of preventing data loss and mitigating database malfunction.
