Summary

Lidl US is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. This is a remote position. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the compilation, development of reports and assure quality in the data systems. The role is also responsible for ensuring correct data management and distribution of reports.

*Compensation for this position aligns with Arlington, VA - Headquarters*

What You’ll Do

  • Compile ad-hoc and standard reports/presentations according to defined reporting KPIs
  • Distribute and dispatch all reports compiled in the department to the defined circle of recipients as part of the regular reporting and planning cycle while ensuring that national and international timelines are met
  • Contribute in checking the quality of reporting before it is released
  • Administration of the controlling systems (e.g. SAP & MIS)
  • Manipulate and interpret large sets of business data, monitor and analyze relevant KPIs in partnership with respective business departments and support the follow up of implemented measures
  • Support the annual planning process, reviewing and analyzing planned values
  • Assist in projects relevant to financial planning and analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and specific business-management evaluations
  • Export, maintain, and update the reporting system databases
  • What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in related field
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • German language skills
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment [Preferred]
  • CIMA/CPA [Preferred]
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, including the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly
