Broadcom’s Enterprise Software Division (“ESD”) helps organizations scale their digital transformation by fusing business and IT. This Delivery Domain Specialist (“DS”) position focuses on DevOps, Continuous Testing, and Agile management solutions in the wider context of the end-to-end application delivery.
The Domain Specialist (DS) works closely with customers and partners to ensure they are achieving value and business outcomes by using Broadcom’s solutions. Responsible for translating customer’s business outcomes into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex technology solutions and integrating architecture, the DS acts as an advocate for the customer and the ultimate authority on the solution designed to address customer business problems, providing direction for the design activities. The DS is also responsible for high-level relationship management and acts as customer liaison, strategically focused and responsible for customer adoption of Broadcom solutions, satisfaction, maintaining customer communication, and the overall management of the customer relationship. The DS grows the customer relationship by driving adoption and identifying new business opportunities, while working with Sales, Leadership, Product Management, and Engineering teams to execute all engagement matters and ensure on-time delivery of projects that support the customer’s business.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Perform value alignment with strategic customers business objectives
• Perform point of view / proof of value presentations
• Identify and lead adoption activities within customers
• Facilitate presentation of solution roadmaps to customers and participate in roadmap sessions with internal engineering and product management teams
• Maintain account opportunity and adoption data
• Maintain own understanding of DevOps capabilities, products and solutions
• Maintain own understanding of third party solutions and tools related to the domain
• Maintain own understanding of ESD capabilities, products and solutions across the software portfolio
• Collaborate closely with other domain members in the territory to ensure cross-pollination, collaborative learning and 360-degree understanding of assigned accounts
• Collaborate in the definition and execution of account marketing activities
Required Qualifications
The Domain Specialist is a highly qualified professional. The following are the required and demonstrable characteristics and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent at the minimum + 12+ years of related experience required
• Understanding of Agile management solutions and scaling Agile frameworks like SAFe
• Strong background and experience with DevOps, Continuous Testing, CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering, and similar methods, practices and approaches
• Experience with JMeter, BlazeMeter, Selenium, Microfocus LoadRunner and UFT and similar Open Source testing tools and test automation frameworks is a plus
• Knowledge of PPM discipline and Clarity, Planview, Rally, Jira, RTC or similar tools for Agile value stream management is a plus
• Ability to understand customer business problems to clearly formulate and articulate software solutions to solve those problems
• Ability to interact with business users to discuss and document business requirements, and translate them into modern application designs and architectures
• Strong presentation skills, including software demonstration skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
