As an Application Developer, you will develop database and webapplications to
support the PatientAccount Service Center (PAS). The position is responsible for ascertainingbusiness requirements from PAS business users and incorporating thoserequirements into applications that meet the defined need(s). The position isalso responsible for assisting the Application Development Manager with otherduties as assigned including maintenance and support of ongoing applications.
What you will do in thisrole:
• Assists in developing,supporting, and maintaining database and web applications
• Documents technicalrequirements by working with the Application Development Manager or businessusers.
• Completes applicationdevelopment tasks assigned according to project plan (if applicable) andcommunicates
obstacles.
• Assists in developingprototypes/models and determining data sources (if applicable).
• Follows technical anddevelopment standards when developing database and web components.
• Executes applicationunit testing plans. Documents and resolves resulting defects.
• Coordinates system anduser acceptance testing (as appropriate).
• Creates and maintainsapplication documentation.
• Assists in analyzingand executing change requests and enhancements.
• Resolves applicationissues as instructed.
• Develops appropriateapplication controls to mitigate operational and financial risks.
• Act as a liaisonbetween Application Development and PAS business users.
• Actively participatesin application design sessions.
• Provides technicalguidance to business users.
• Devises technicalsolutions to promote business activities.
• Performs monthlyapplication monitoring and maintenance as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelors Degree InformationSystems or related degree. Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 2-4 yearsInformation Technology experience including database and web applicationdesign.
Prior DBA experiencebeneficial.
• Experience with HCA systemspreferred.
