Due to internal advancement we have a great opportunity for someone to become part of a great team of Tax Accountants. This position can be Hybrid or Remote.Under the direction of the Tax Manager, assists with tax compliance, review, analysis, and preparation of returns for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System and Affiliates. Responsibilities include tax work paper preparation and input, Form 990 reporting, K-1 Input, Partnership reporting, tax-exempt bond compliance, responding to notices and requests from internal and external departments and agencies, etc.Key Responsibilities: Completes account reconciliations between GAAP and IRS Tax Code Requests, prepares, and maintains work papers for Federal and State tax preparation, including a clear audit trail of sources and data Works with affiliates and others to gather inter-entity and related party transaction information Inputs work papers into tax software and prepares tax returns for review Completes more advanced tax research and analysis, including research memorandums, SBARS, etc. Assists with Tax-exempt bond compliance Assists with requests from other departments and other tax matters Assists tax staff accountants and interns as needed Assists other departments within Corporate Finance as needed Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administratino, or related field.CPA or EA preferred.Three (3) years of relevant accounting or tax experience in a healthcare or tax preparation environment required. Knowledge of federal and state tax requirements relating to non-profit organizations preferred.Experience with tax preparation and software is required.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills required.Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills required.Ability to work independently and strong project/time management skills required.Required Licensure/Certification Skills:None
