Our Solutions Consultant is a remote-based position and can sit anywhere in the US (east coast preferred.)

Responsibilities

  • Solutions Consultants provide business knowledge and technical support to Account Managers throughout the sales cycle
  • Lead pre-sales technical demonstrations for sales opportunities in partnership with Account Managers and the Solutions Consulting Team
  • Provide support to the Account Managers and assist with the qualification of customer opportunities from a product/solution fit and customer benefit standpoint
  • Articulating complex technology to clearly demonstrate business value to the customer and how it will transform their business
  • Effectively deliver value-based product demonstrations to customers or at conferences
  • Proactively provide accurate sales cycle feedback into the sales team to help drive the sales process forward
  • Apply focus on the value proposition and “buying enablement” for our customers
  • Provide customer feedback to the Product Managers and Marketing on existing products and industry trends.
  • Maintain commercial awareness of IDBS’ customers and competitors.
  • Proactively learn how to configure and demonstrate IDBS Software
  • Support RFI and RFP process as part of the sales cycle
  • Be prepared to challenge customer thinking and look to teach, tailor and take control of customer engagements
  • Ability to find ways to build confidence with our customers and lead them to a purchase and subsequent successful deployment
  • Required Competencies

  • BS/BA and/or equivalent R&D focused skills in at least one of the target markets, including Pharma, Biotech, Analytical science
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain complex scenarios in a simple manner to a diverse audience such as scientists, IT, Department Heads, Senior Management and Business Sponsors
  • Willingness to travel when it is safe to do so.
  • Experience of using IDBS (or similar) products would be an advantage
