The applicant should have ability to support advanced business functions, translate business requirements into solution designs, and build and implement systems and technical solutions for Operations. The applicant is encouraged to drive continuous improvements and SAP standard methodologies in support of the company vision and roadmap.This position is part of the Information Technology Department and can be located in remotely from anywhere in the United States.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Establish relationships primarily with Manufacturing & Planning departments but also other Supply Chain functions/quality locally in Bay area and globally.Collaborate with business users in Operations, and other groups when needed, to gain a good understanding of their business processes and requirements.Design, develop, and test system solutions to address business requirements, in alignment with the global solution templateConfigure SAP PP module (or other elated modules as needed) to meet business requirements, including integration points with other SAP modules or other applications such as MES and PLM.Develop functional specifications for custom developments, and collaborate with the development team to get those built and testedThe essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Business, (or related) or the equivalent in work experience.13 + years of experience in IT focused on ERP design and management8 + years experience primarily in SAP Production Planning module and secondary expertise in Materials Management (including Inventory Management) module and related processes in manufacturing organizations with broad exposure to other interfacing modules.Experience in design and implementation of MES-SAP interface is mustDeep understanding of the integration with other ECC modules (especially MM, WM, SD, QM and CO)It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Experience in interfacing SAP with external PLM systemExperience in implementation of APS (Advance Planning System) such as APO, IBPCertification in SAPPP module is preferred.Cepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
