Systems AdministratorRemote West CoastRemote - California, USA Sacramento, CA Seattle, WA Job Description Skilled senior systems administrator needed to work in a fast-paced environment with leading-edge technology (Dell, NetApp, Citrix, VMware, Chef, Jenkins, Jira, Amazon Web Services) and be part of a dynamic team. Responsibilities Install, configure, and manage Microsoft technologies and other infrastructureMonitor and maintain the infrastructure to ensure it is secure and up to date with the latest security patchesDocument system configurations, technical diagrams, and standard operating proceduresAutomate via scripting and other tools to gain efficiencies and reduce opportunities for human errorPartner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutionsRespond to escalated requests for technical assistanceCoordinate with various teams on projects and escalationsAdvise and make recommendations to management concerning infrastructure and related issuesRemain current on emerging technologies, tools, techniques, and methodologiesPerform scheduled maintenance and provide support outside of normal working hoursEducation and Experience RequirementsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in computer related fields, technical certifications related to responsibilities, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft technologiesStrong experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, and other Microsoft technologiesExperience scripting and automating with industry-standard tools such as PowerShell, Chef, and JenkinsExperience working in an environment where availability, scalability, security, compliance, process, change management, and documentation are operating imperativesExcellent communication skills, written and verbal, including experience with technical documentationExperience in deployment strategies for new technologies within a geographically diverse environmentExperience supporting complex solutionsExperience supporting and running production 24x7 client-facing environmentsExperience with Red Hat Linux Enterprise preferredExperience with hosted/cloud-based solutions preferredMicrosoft certifications preferredCompany offers excellent benefits including health, dental, 401k plan, tuition and professional development reimbursement plan.
