+ This position is employed by Park Center but will work in the Elementary Schools as their full time location
+ The role will be to teach Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills (anger management, anxiety management, social skills, communication, relationship skills) and coordinate care on behalf of the child/family.
+ The position will be expected to bill for services and document it the medical record
+ School contract hours have us arriving at school no later than 7:25 am to start the school day. (staff will work an 8 hour day in the school and be done at about 3/3:30 each day; depending on their lunch break)
+ Because this is a school position, we ask that staff use their PTO during times when the school breaks (fall, winter, spring breaks) vs during the school year (unless of course they are sick or it is an exception, i.e. wedding, etc)
+ These are 10-month positions; but staff will be 1.0 FTEs (benefits at 1.0 status) (school year is Aug-May); staff will either be down-staffed June/July OR they will be placed in another department to pick up work (i.e. homebased services for the summer months when school is not in session)
Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, human services, or other related field.
Licensure: Must have a valid state driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
Experience: At least on year of experience in a mental health environment.
Must be able to complete job duties autonomously. Demonstrated leadership skills and strong organizational skills. Ability to interpret and analyze medical and social history information. Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, ability to positively influence others with respect and compassion. Requires ability to communicate and resolve conflict. Strong work ethic built on a foundation of proactivity and teamwork. Ability to navigate ambiguity with the aid of structured problem solving techniques.
