Purpose:
• Added to Job Family Presales & Implementation - PI in scan/refresh process
• This position plays a key role in the pursuit of new business, analyzing the client’s business requirements to craft winning and deliverable solutions that are commercially acceptable to the customer.
• The role holder is responsible for end-to-end design of the total service being sold to the client.
• Works in close collaboration with sales, bid management and service delivery, internal and external partners, the role holder will orchestrate and enable deal wins, contributing to smooth service transition and successful handover to the service delivery teams.
• As part of the pursuit process the Solution Architect works with deal pursuit team members to develop a value proposition and business case for the service and helping articulate this in a compelling manner to the client. This requires working within the relevant governance and processes.

• Designing deliverable services (KPI: Service is deliverable & as standard as possible)

Overview
Xerox IT Services is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Solutions Architect to help drive sales of Microsoft products and solutions. The qualified candidate is an experienced engineer / architect capable of complex requirements gathering and solution design. In this role, you will be on the front lines of our business as an advocate for Xerox IT Services solutions centered on our engineering team and Microsoft products. By working closely with customers, sales representatives, and manufacturers, you will assess business and technical requirements, perform solution development, create bills of materials, and develop labor estimates for projects. As a Solutions Architect within the Microsoft/Cloud Solutions Design team, you will provide technical direction and mentoring to customers, implementation engineers, as well as work closely with the Sales Team, promoting and supporting Microsoft/Cloud related sales efforts and assisting with revenue achievement.
Position Responsibilities
· Understand customers overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions using IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
· Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies as appropriate.
· Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
· Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates.
· Be the voice of the customer; share insights and best practices and connect with Engineering teams to remove key blockers.
· Assess the customers knowledge of Azure platform and overall cloud readiness to support customers through a structured learning plan and ensure its delivery through partners.
· Collaborate with other solution architects in developing complex end-to-end solutions on Microsoft Azure.
· Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community.
· Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities.
· Architect and design world class Microsoft cloud solutions on Azure and Microsoft 365.
· Creating documentation including scopes of work, design documents, SOW, documentation.
Required Education, Skills & Experience
· Deep understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies, including Office 365, and Azure.
· Actively working on projects which require planning, migration, and operations of Azure and Office 365 in both Hybrid and Cloud-only architectures.
· Must have hybrid or full cloud experience in consultancy or in-house role.
· Deep understanding Azure, Office 365 Migrations, Data Centre Migrations and deployments.
· Experience with developing migration plans, statement of work or project deliverables, as well as the delivery of end to end cloud-based solutions.
· Demonstrated experience architecting and designing Azure Virtual Desktop (WVD) solutions.
· Azure Security experience using EMS and tools such as Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Cloud App Security, Azure Information Protection (AIP/MIP), Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Security Center.
· Solid Understanding of Microsoft 365 services.
· This candidate shall have experience migrating from Exchange and other email platforms to O365 including hybrid environments.
· Strong understanding of mobile device concepts and understanding of Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite.
· Networking services like Azure VPN, VNET, Meraki, Cisco, ExpressRoute, MPLS, SDWAN.
· Firewall solutions, Azure Firewall, Azure Front Door.
· Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, ADFS and AADDS.
· MFA solutions, like Duo.
· Virtualization solutions for both Public and Private Clouds, such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Hyper-V, VMWare, and Citrix.
· Monitoring and Alerting Solutions, such as Azure Monitor.
· Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions, such as Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup and Veeam.
· Familiarity with PowerShell and for performing and automating tasks and deploying resources.
