The Senior Delivery Manager is responsible for delivery of product, initiative, and/or platform teams. The associate will have direct responsibility for ceremonies/rituals, stakeholder communication, resource allocation, budget, and metrics, if applicable. The Sr. Delivery Mgr is responsible for guiding product/initiative teams, removing obstacles, gaining consensus, and providing positive and developmental feedback. The associate proactively seeks to improve processes, procedures, tools, and methodology. This associate will play an active role in training and mentoring junior delivery managers. Product/Initiative outcomes, team engagement, and customer satisfaction will be a key metric for measuring success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads delivery of complex products/initiatives for teams that may also include business stakeholders, supporting IT teams, creative teams, vendors, and consultants through all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Responsible for facilitating Agile team ceremonies/rituals and effectively guiding resources to achieve goals
  • Responsible for adhering to the current project and/or product management methodology while influencing best practices, process improvements, and procedures
  • Coach and mentor team members in the execution of project and/or product management activities and agile techniques; accountable for success of products and/or initiatives
  • Serve as a primary problem solver for any issues, roadblocks, and risks; maintaining responsibility for their resolution. Servant leader for the team.
  • Effectively create and deliver presentations and reports to management team, communicating product and/or initiative status
  • Drive the decision making process amongst stakeholders, ensuring product/initiative needs and solution options are presented and understood
  • Train and mentor others in managing multiple large initiative and/or product teams simultaneously


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate with and influence a variety of audiences including product managers, IT developers, business analysts, business partners, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Must have strong cross-functional teamwork skills
  • Ability to observe business situations, recognize roadblocks, and deliver solutions
  • Ability to influence and indirectly manage team members to meet initiative and/or product deliverables
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines with accuracy
  • Ability to lead, partner with and challenge peer groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; able to identify areas of improvement and make sound recommendations to solve problems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective at handling multiple concurrent large projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and proceed on own good judgment
  • Understands and champions, coaches and mentors on Agile practices where appropriate


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years practicing/heavy involvement
• Digital/IT Experience
• Specialties: Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban
