Job Overview

This is a hands-on position that requires an entrepreneurial approach to creative asset development and tracking. You must have production, content development, and/or creative marketing operations experience.

As the Senior Project Manager, Creative Operations, you will be joining a small group of nimble, fast-paced creatives, responsible for creating brand and marketing materials across multiple companies. Primary responsibilities for this role are tracking asset development/approvals to ensure all creative requests are delivered on time and working closely with the Creative Directors to create concepts for consumer-facing performance marketing campaigns. This role is inherently cross-functional. You will serve as the liaison between the executive, brand, licensing, marketing, product operations teams, and the creative team, helping confirm production details and communicating direction from creative leads, tracking creative asset development/approvals, and maintaining the creative team as a well-oiled machine. The creative will span a variety of mediums and types, including brand style guides, in-store and online product and website launches, photography, video, social and paid media ads, company sizzle reels, and on-site brand experiences at events. You must be able to self-organize and handle a large volume of work. Consumer-oriented marketing experience is a bonus!

Responsibilities:

  • Creative tracking: from concept to approval, you will make sure the ball isn't dropped and things keep moving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining full awareness of all aspects of the creative process, acting as a single conduit for multiple streams of information and productivity. You will be the go-to resource for status, timelines, and deliverables across your projects.
  • You will process new creative requests and elevate when necessary to the creative leads to prioritize incoming requests and resourcing needs from multiple companies.
  • Establish, manage, and clearly communicate overall timelines and project deliverables for the creative team: photographer/videographer, copywriter, motion graphics artist, and marketing communications graphic designers.
  • Keep track of monthly recurring creative tasks: photography requests, licensing approvals for email, social and paid media ad assets, website updates, and more.
  • Ensure that internal and external creative feedback is communicated clearly to designers.
  • Organize and participate in brainstorming meetings and research where necessary to support ongoing creative needs and new brand development.
  • Assist creative leads in creating brand, marketing, photo, and video shoot concept decks.
  • Assist the photographer with request prioritization and coordinating locations, product tracking, models, and prop needs.
  • Work with performance marketing and CRM leads, brand managers, and creative directors to recommend creative improvements for various channels.
  • Success Factors:

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with careful attention to detail.
  • Must have a sense of urgency, working both independently and collaboratively to ensure the creative team delivers high-quality creative assets on time.
  • Experience breaking down complex ideas into manageable tasks.
  • Ability to effectively change focus in a rapidly evolving environment and be open-minded to learning new things and changes to workflow.
  • Ability to motivate, resolve conflicts, and solve problems that may come up during a typical workday to maintain a productive, blocker-free work environment.
  • Knowledge of design best practices and have an eye for good design.
  • Interest and understanding of gaming, anime, entertainment, toys, marketing & advertising trends of today’s media landscape, and how people engage with advertising.
  • Having a collaborative nature is crucial for this role. Needs to be able to receive and provide constructive criticism, and work to licensing or brand partners’ requirements.
  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years experience as a project manager, preferably with creative/marketing operations experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced marketing agency or in-house marketing team with responsibility for cross-functional planning and communication.
  • Passion for creativity, but is excited about owning the detail-focused asset development process.
  • A proactive problem-solver with an upbeat attitude, strong oral and written skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with Agile SCRUM methodology is a plus.
