PLM Consultant - (Work Environment: Remote/Office)

Position Overview: Computer Aided Technology is looking to add a PLM Consultant to our growing organization, based out of our Buffalo Grove, IL office. Come work for a nationally recognized company in the CAD industry, managing PDM/PLM implementations for our customers. What you’ll do:

• Manage multi-stage projects from start to completion. Take ownership for the overall design, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects
• Act as a go-to subject matter expert for customer contacts in various departments including Engineering, Marketing, Quality, IT, Manufacturing and Management to understand requirements
• Configure systems to meet customer requirements
• Act as a teacher and trainer for systems administrators and end users
• Put your critical thinking skills to the test to troubleshoot complex configuration and system issues
• Team up with our sales representatives to deliver exciting and compelling product demonstrations
• Use your investigative skills to uncover unique customer challenges
• Publish exciting new content about PDM/PLM features on our company blog and newsletters

Requirements

Who YOU are:

• Located in the Greater Chicago or Milwaukee Area.
• A knowledgeable professional with a Bachelors or Associates in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• A technical professional with a solid understanding of engineering processes, preferably with hands-on experience using PDM/PLM tools
• A CAD user with at least a high-level understanding of how PDM/PLM relates to CAD
• A customer-focused individual with the skills needed to communicate clearly and confidently
• A problem-solver with the drive to come up with solutions to unique customer issues
• A technology-proficient individual with some understanding of databases (such as MS SQL Server)
• A flexible worker with the ability to adapt to new challenges as they arise
• Willing to travel <30% to customer appointments, mostly local travel
