Job Title: Reimbursement Specialist

Location: WORK FROM HOME- FULLY REMOTE - EQUIPMENT PROVIDED
Applicant must reside in Texas, Arizona, North Carolina or Indiana to be considered for this role

Length of Role: Starts October 18th and ends mid February 2022, based on the needs of the business candidates can be considered for full-time

Pay: $18-21/hr.

Schedule: 8am - 5pm, 9am to 6pm, 10am to 7pm - > must be able to work all shifts
Typically Monday to Friday position, but candidate must be flexible to work Saturday's if needed

Job Description:
This is a phone role making outbound calls. The Reimbursement Specialist is a remote seasonal position responsible for performing specific reimbursement functions associated with completing a medical and/or pharmacy benefit investigation. The Reimbursement Specialist will utilize data from the internal system to complete a medical benefit investigation. This process involves calling on specific payers to obtain the necessary missing data to finalize the benefit investigation. Once the data is obtained from the payer, the Reimbursement Specialist will enter the data into the proprietary system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Collects and reviews all patient insurance benefit information from the payer, to the degree authorized by the SOP of the program.
  2. Provides exceptional customer service to all internal team members; resolves any requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates issues accordingly.
  3. Maintains frequent phone contact with assigned payers.
  4. Reports any reimbursement trends/delays to supervisor.
  5. Communicates effectively to payers to ensure accurate and timely benefit investigations.
  6. Analysis of data and using good judgment to review data.
  7. Ability to work remotely; typically receives little instruction on day-to-day work.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
  • 2 years of experience in a customer service - oriented role that requires attention to detail and basic computer skills
  • General knowledge of medical/pharmacy insurance is a huge plus
  • High School Diploma or GED
