This manager is also responsible for managing a team of associates through development and the oversight of support. They will also provide oversight of the team's strategic mission within Technology, ensuring the team's collaboration throughout the organization and ensure positive interactions with all customers and external partners. The position requires strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and managerial skills. The Manager is responsible for implementing the mission of their team and influencing the strategic vision and goals of their team through the successful work of their team members. The Manager is responsible for the support of all systems within their team's area of responsibility. This includes ensuring that the team is focused on strong customer service, collaborating to successfully resolve conflict with a win-win resolution and that the team's efforts consistently meet CarMax® business requirements, direction, and standards.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Team ManagementResponsible for interviewing, selecting, and training associatesResponsible for day-to-day tactical team decisionsRequired to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to schedule and execute hardware and software releasesDemonstrated ability to prioritize and assign tactical requests to the teamLeadershipLeads team through obstacles and time constraints to overcome barriers and successfully deliver resultsInfluences the work of others to drive department goals and initiatives to successful completion through effective team and project management, customer interaction and Technology coordinationDemonstrated ability to Influence and communicate effectively with Technology managementProduction SupportEnsures that support problems and errors are tracked to ensure appropriate future handlingPlay a critical role in postmortems which involves prioritizing enhancements to increase reliability and visibility in our critical technology platformsCustomer Interaction / Business KnowledgeAct as the key liaison with the customer community and consistently builds positive relationships with customers and contacts in supported business areasInteract with the customer including understanding of requirements and proposed solutionsMust courageously influence the processes and barriers to projects to best represent the customers' requirements and needsMust continually seek opportunities to increase internal customer satisfaction and deepen client relationsQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Accountable for defining, planning, and implementing the ServiceNow roadmap at CarMax®Collaborate with Product Owners, subject matter experts and senior managers to socialize the ServiceNow platform capabilities and how they help compliment the Associate experienceDrives definition, development, and implementation of ServiceNow capabilities and governance into CarMaxHands-on managerial and project / program management experienceAbility to provide technical guidance in solutioning what's possible within the ServiceNow platformStrong ability to provide vision for the vast technical and business capabilities of ServiceNowCommunicate and collaborate with the business users and customers to have their tasks addressed in a manner that builds positive customer relationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:BS/BA degree required- Technology related focus preferred5+ years administration, development, or management on the ServiceNow platform preferred5+ years of experience in Technology 3+ years of experience managing direct reports3+ years of experience required leading software projects leveraging Agile practicesCarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
