What will you do?
Maintain, develop, optimize, troubleshoot, extend, validate, test, provide training, and document production-level software using a combination of C#, Python, and some C++ Work in compliance with legislation Support applications in the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry domain Analyze and develop quantitative and qualitative workflows. Design and Develop algorithms and services that transform, evaluate, and integrate mass spectrometry data and associated meta data to identify the m/z signatures of molecules or molecular fragments and provide deeper insights. Work closely with other non-software research scientists to implement and contribute to patentable ideas. Advances the group’s capability by in-depth research, innovation, and continuous improvement. Work with field support in troubleshooting and reproducing customer issues, when required. How will you get here?
Education
Masters degree or PhD in scientific fields like Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Biochemistry or Computer Science. Experience
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience working with analytical instrument data sets either in industry or in an academic lab as a Post-Doctoral fellow. Expertise with analyzing large, complex data sets Experience working in an FDA regulated / CLIA / GLP development environment preferred. Prior experience working with analytical devices is a preferred but not mandatory requirement. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong software design skills and significant knowledge of one or more programming languages C#, C++, Python, Go, Scala. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to review and evaluate writing of others.
