What will you do?

  • Maintain, develop, optimize, troubleshoot, extend, validate, test, provide training, and document production-level software using a combination of C#, Python, and some C++
  • Work in compliance with legislation
  • Support applications in the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry domain
  • Analyze and develop quantitative and qualitative workflows. Design and Develop algorithms and services that transform, evaluate, and integrate mass spectrometry data and associated meta data to identify the m/z signatures of molecules or molecular fragments and provide deeper insights.
  • Work closely with other non-software research scientists to implement and contribute to patentable ideas. Advances the group’s capability by in-depth research, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with field support in troubleshooting and reproducing customer issues, when required.
  • How will you get here?

    Education

  • Masters degree or PhD in scientific fields like Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Biochemistry or Computer Science.
  • Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience working with analytical instrument data sets either in industry or in an academic lab as a Post-Doctoral fellow.
  • Expertise with analyzing large, complex data sets
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated / CLIA / GLP development environment preferred.
  • Prior experience working with analytical devices is a preferred but not mandatory requirement.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong software design skills and significant knowledge of one or more programming languages C#, C++, Python, Go, Scala.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to review and evaluate writing of others.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures and basic computing algorithms
  • Background in algorithms for data analysis and data manipulation of data sets.
