As Marketing Content Specialist, you are responsible for providing well-researched content (email, ebooks, case studies, blogs, thought leadership articles, social posts, and demand generation campaign messaging), and understand how to position and promote content by adapting to the voice of the customer. You will have a positive impact on the growth of ITX in partnership with Sales and the rest of the Marketing team by providing professional, accurate, informative, and well-written content. Prospects, clients, partners, and internal audiences will be influenced by or benefit from this digital content. Content will be generated in an industry appropriate, creative, and timely manner. Professionally written marketing materials raise the profile of the company by projecting a positive and polished corporate image. This is a remote position that does not require travel to an office location.

What You Love to Do (and will do at ITX):

  • Research, organize, and generate compelling copy for email, web, video, and social. You will obtain service offering information by interviewing or requesting such information from necessary parties including internal and external subject matter experts and clients.
  • Write service line fact sheets, brochures, case studies, newsletter articles, advertising, social media, blogs, and other material as requested by the VP of Marketing, Marketing Content Lead, or Branding and Communications Manager.
  • Proofread and edit a variety of copy and ensure brand voice is maintained.
  • Understand key corporate, business, and service area objectives and convey messages that support them in all sales and marketing collateral.
  • Understand customer needs and be able to incorporate a client perspective into communications.
  • Plan and launch new social and automated email experiments as determined, analyze results, and implement best practices.
  • Utilize a metric driven approach to determine which programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activity.
  • Work with the marketing team to incorporate content into campaigns.
  • Conduct research for content topics based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the Marketing team to be responsive to the marketing needs of the Sales organization and create new materials as determined or requested.
  • Establish priorities and meet deadlines, in conjunction with those set forth by the Marketing Team.
  • Stay abreast of industry and marketing best practices, trends, ideas, tools, and technology.
Your Experience (you can back it up and would be proud to show it off):
  • 3+ years of content development/copywriting experience, including the ability to create impactful marketing messages demonstrated through writing samples
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Manage a variety of marketing projects and timelines effectively
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience in content management systems (WordPress) and social media tools
  • An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
  • A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations to grow personally and to help the team and organization succeed
Preferred Experience (not required but you'd love to learn):
  • Working in the B2B tech/software industry
  • Creating assets for paid social and SEM
  • Posting social content with Hootsuite, Buffer, CoSchedule, etc.
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) with HubSpot, Salesforce/Pardot, Marketo, etc.
  • Optimizing marketing funnels, messaging sequences, and conversion rates
