Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for processing incoming payments, reconciling customer accounts and research projects as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

* Ability to process incoming payments in a multi-entity environment
* Review payments and use critical thinking for account and department application
* Ability to trace transactions through the system and determine sources of discrepancies and make corrections
* Responds to inquiries from customers and researches and resolves any discrepancy
* Provide support for year-end audit
* Work with the accounting team to develop and monitor internal controls
* Data entry and verification
* Other duties or projects as needed

Position Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 2-4 years accounts receivable experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and use of office equipment
* Ability to become familiar with company products and navigate systems in a reasonable amount of time
* Ability to identify process improvement needs and apply critical thinking skills
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
* Ability to understand, problem solve and respond to a customers' needs in a timely manner
* Must display a strong work ethic, initiative and accountability for performance
* Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently within the context of a fast-paced, busy environment
* Ability to perform detailed, accurate data entry and meticulous attention to detail
* Must be able to work independently and manage own time to meet department goals and deadlines
* Ability to maintain cooperative effective working relationships within company
* Support a team environment, focused on the greater good and eager to pitch in to help when needed

Physical Demands:

Minimum physical exertion. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key calculator and copier/fax.

Work Environment:

The working conditions will vary between an office environment and a remote home environment. The ideal protected indoor work environment is a clean, non-hazardous work area. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office or remote home environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
