As part of the Aquatic Informatics family, we believe in empowering the water industry across all applications, to make data-driven, smart decisions.About the Software Sales Engineer role:The Software Sales Engineer will work alongside the Sales Team by demonstrating the power of Aquatic Informatics' (AQI) software solutions to help win business. They will act as a bridge between Sales, Product Management, Support, and Marketing in communicating and specifying customer requirements and market needs. Additionally, you will work to tackle additional customer challenges with the Sedaru suite of software solutions (Sedaru OMNI, Fieldforce, Connect, Outage, Modeling, CIP & Ops).This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the U.S. or Canada near a major airport. Some locations have been listed, but this is not all-inclusive.Help win business through compelling software demonstrations. These demos will include scripting, provisioning, and tailoring our software solutions to address customer pains uncovered during the discovery processWhile working with sales, collaboratively uncover a solution architecture that addresses potential customers' organizational challenges with AQI softwareDevelop persuasive and repeatable demonstration scripts which showcase the power of the softwareLead the RFI/RFP technical response process including pre-bid activities, formal proposal writing, delivering presentations, and post-bid activitiesSetup, configure and maintain a software suite demonstration site in the cloudDemonstrate expert knowledge and direct hands-on experience of the software productsTackle complex product integration scoping and documentation in solution overview to support project pricing and project handoff to Customer Success post-saleIntelligence gathering and sharing internally (customers, competitors, and markets)Propose solutions to prospective customers devised in conjunction with AQl Sales, Professional Services, and Product Management teamsPresent technical presentations at industry conferences and serve as a subject expertFlexibility to work outside regular business hours to collaborate with Sales colleaguesTravel, about 30%, domestically and internationallyAre you qualified?Post-secondary degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience3+ years of technical sales experienceEnterprise Software or SaaS Technical Pre-Sales Experience (similar to ERP sales, Data management)Experience in utility asset management and network intelligenceCustomer support or other experience demonstrating problem-solving customer issuesProficient doing technical software demonstrationsOutstanding presentation skills, with the ability to combine professional, persuasive, and personable deliveryStrong working knowledge of Esri GISSolid understanding of utility and municipal work/asset management softwareFamiliar with automated metering, SCADA, and other utility enterprise technologyFamiliar with hydraulic modelingStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate (written and oral) internally and with prospective customersThe salary range for this role is $55,000 to $90,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado.
