Job Description :
The Software Development Engineer is a key driver in creating custom development work to support Client implementations across multiple Mitchell products.In this role, you are the Subject Matter Expert for the Product and a Business Partner to our Clients and internal teams in requirements gathering and solution design and development. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded technical and interpersonal skill set.Responsible for creating software solutions to support Client implementationsThese solutions include data conversion and migration routines, custom processes to import/export data, automate application configuration and file transferCreate new software solutions to support Client implementations. Data conversion and migration routines using a combination of technologies; T-SQL, SSIS, C# applications, PowerShell, JavaScriptCustom processes to import/export data, automate application configuration and file transfer.Modify existing processes to support requirement changes.Contribute to projects to improve efficiency of Business processes.Participate in Code Review.Refactor existing processes to improve performance and maintenance.Be a Development resource for other Team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, other technical degree)This is a highly collaborative role that emphasizes quality and great customer experiences.5+ years professional experience with the following technologies:SQL Server 2016+ / Transact-SQL, SSQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)PowerShellJavaScript.NET Framework (ASP.NET, ADO.NET)C#SOA principles and practicesXML, JSON and Web ServicesIISExperience writing and participating in performing data mappings, writing technical specifications and creating test plans as necessary.Excellent written and verbal communication. Must be able to clearly and confidently communicate with customers and demonstrate expertise in technology solutions.Familiarity with ANSI X12 EDI specifications (837, 835, 997, 277 etc.).Property & Casualty industry knowledge highly preferred, but can substitute technical expertise.Strong process and prioritization skills and the ability to work well in situations with a high degree of ambiguity.Innovative approach problem solving and troubleshooting.A passion for delivering high-quality custom solutions and creating great customer experiences.Robust collaboration skills and the ability to work diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders and build productive relationships.An inspiring degree of self-motivation, initiative, and self-improvement.
