GameStop is looking for a experienced Software Engineer to join our QA team, supporting the Customer Care and Ecommerce functions. This role will be remote and will collaborate with a team of engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners distributed across the U.S. Our team is brand new , and is responsible for the complete lifecycle of microservices and front-ends that power products and features that delight millions of GameStop customers. The ideal candidate will be customer-obsessed, highly collaborative, and passionate about creating customer experiences that are both frictionless and delightful. A passion for gaming and ecommerce are a plus!

Responsibilities

• Review code and provide meaningful feedback to peers to help build better solutions.

• Get involved during the planning and design processes to ensure we are building testable systems.

• Be an advocate for the customer/user to ensure our output meets expectations.

• Design scalable and robust test frameworks and tooling for automation. Be innovative!

• Test, test, test -- performance, functional, and regression.

• Implement and deliver on reporting processes. Be a great communicator.

As a senior member of our team, you'll need to:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to peers and less experienced engineers.

• Use data to provide input to prioritization decisions.

• Work across web development and scalable middle tier and back-end services.

• Thrive in an ambiguous environment, be resourceful, and make tradeoffs to deliver customer impact.

• Exhibit a bias for action, constantly looking for ways to improve performance and customer experience.

• Establish strong working relationships across all levels and functions of the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

• 4+ years relevant work experience with testing highly performant full-stack applications and services. This is in addition to degree/experience requirement above.

• Experience in both manual and automated testing.

• 2+ years experience with debugging and automation testing tools (Appium, Selenium Webdriver, Jenkins, Postman, Charles Proxy, etc.).

• 2+ years of experience with source control versioning systems.
• Have strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.

You'll stand out if...

• Master's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools.

• Proficiency in more than one modern programming language/technology.

• Ecommerce and OMS experience.
