About the role

We are looking for an Associate, Pricing & Portfolio strategy, you will join the Pricing & Portfolio strategy team - which works with senior leadership to develop pricing decisions for all Oscar products through a unique combination of data analytics and business knowledge.

Who are you:

  • Analytical and strategic: you have an interest and more about broader business strategic tradeoffs and decisions
  • Collaborative attitude: you can work with other teams across the organization
  • You will report to the Associate Director, Pricing & Portfolio Strategy. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

    Responsibilities

  • Craft recommendations using a data-driven approach combined with business knowledge for c-suite executives to make pricing decisions that improve our bottom line
  • Source, organize, and analyze data to support all strategic programs in the team
  • Create models and tools that produce relevant insights to improve company-wide strategic decisions, including understanding profitability tradeoffs and market trends
  • Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics and Finance
  • 3+ years experience in consulting, finance, economics, or business development; strategic experience
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity to desire to outcomes, work with large datasets and distill analyses into relevant insights with a structured and systematic thought process
  • Strong proficiency with Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), SQL, R, or Python to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience in Healthcare or Insurance industry
