The position of Staff Engineer, DevOps reports to the Senior Director R&D, Workflow Information Technology Solutions BU with the primary responsibility to support development and deployment of Next generation IoT Platform.

The Beckman Coulter DxONE NextGen IOT platform is an enterprise software solution being developed using Azure IoT to provide secure remote monitoring and service of lab instruments. This solution utilizes a proprietary IoT gateway at customer premise that enables remote monitoring from a central location. The candidate will be part of the DevOps team and work closely with the Service and R&D team to ensure uptime of the deployed IoT server and gateways.

In this role, you will have the following opportunities:

  • Partner with the Global Software Development team during architecture and design phases to provide a stable, consistent, efficient development and production environment for Azure IoT platform
  • Primary point of contact for Global Service and Support Teams to resolve customer/field issues during US business hours
  • Automation and orchestration of cloud resource creation and deployment
  • Work with Global Privacy Security and Services team to understand and implement security requirements
  • DevOps champion and leader with vision. Know the latest on emerging Azure Cloud Platform trends, propose improvement opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking / Information technology / Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related field
  • 9+ years of overall experience with last 2+ years of experience as Azure DevOps Engineer
  • Proven hands-on experience with DevOps techniques building continuous integration solutions using Azure DevOps, Azure IOT, Docker, Containers, Kubernetes,
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages: Python, Powershell
  • Experience with Linux OS, systems administration and IT operations (networks, security, etc.)
