Come join our team for a career, not just a job!"Grade 13POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: The Mortgage Production Manager will be responsible for the training and development of mortgage loan officers and operations associates in all areas of government lending and GSE agency CRA programs including operational efficiencies, origination process, product marketing, CRA volume growth, credit risk, origination volume and revenue growth. This operations-focused position is focused on supporting sales to expand government and CRA lending.***While this role is a permanent work from home (WFH) role, due to business reasons, the incumbent must be permanently based in and living in Kentucky.***MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• High school diploma required, college degree or equivalent experience preferred.• Minimum of 7 years mortgage experience with emphasis in FHA, VA, and USDA loans with working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC and non-conforming (jumbo) guidelines required. • Minimum 5 years' experience working Down Payment Assistance programs required.• Knowledge of Loan Prospector, DU and GUS required.• Experienced in thriving in a high-volume production environment with an emphasis in team building, communication, training and development and collaboration cross functionality with adjacent teams (servicing, compliance, CRA, quality control and others).ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Responsible for the creation of a government lending, down payment assistance and MCC training program for mortgage lenders and lending operations associates. Training to be hosted web based and face to face in the company's retail lending footprint (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee).• Act as communication liaison between mortgage sales and lending operations to ensure communication regarding underwriting decisions, investor overlays, program scenarios and guidelines are communicated concisely and timely including the correction of deficiencies in the post-close department.• Collaborate with mortgage sales in marketing, training and development of government lending and the company's portfolio CRA products with statewide association of realtors.• Assist in establishing government lending secondary market, closing and quality control guidelines including investor overlays and state and local housing authorities to ensure loans are underwritten to investor guidelines.• Collaborate, research and assist in the development of new products and programs including facilitating the application and approval process with Ginnie Mae.• Stay abreast of all product and underwriting changes from GNMA, FNMA, FHLMC and investors for both government and agency loans.• Assist in establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators such as turn time, underwriting touches and credit quality to ensure government lending is operating efficiently. Identify and remove roadblocks to increase originations and improve efficiency.• Exceed desired performance metrics as outlined by Senior Management.• Assessments including corrective action as needed and assure appropriate training to associates regarding these responsibilities and procedures.• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.• Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability and dedication to the organization. • Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Must be self-motivated and also work in a team environment.• Requires a high energy level and strong sense of urgency; ability to work with situations on a "rush" notice.• Strong attention to detail & organizational skills.• Excellent ability to deal with associate's issues, questions and/or complaints.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
