The Tervis factory and headquarters are located at 201 Triple Diamond Blvd., North Venice, Florida, 34275. We are looking for a freelance public relations manager to join our team. In this role, your primary duty will be to drive awareness of the Tervis brand among potential customers and reinforce brand strengths with current customers.Your role will be vital in maintaining our company reputation, communicating key brand messages, and ensuring high levels of customer engagement. This role will cover company and brand public relations, traditional and non-traditional media relations. You can expect 25-60 hours/month with significantly fluctuations from week to week based on PR requests and pitches. Duties & Responsibilities+ Develop proactive, synergistic relationships with target journalists - local, regional, and select national journalists while maintaining an up-to-date media list.+ Write press releases, interview responses, speaking points, and other relevant written materials while adhering to Brand Voice guidelines.+ Meet regularly with Sr. Marketing Manager to get briefed on strategy and upcoming initiatives to develop an integrated PR and external communications plan.+ Develop media pitches, story angles, thought leadership content, and programs that will maximize media exposure in both traditional and non-traditional media outlets+ Review marketing plans and translate the information into compelling storylines that are easily understood by our audiences.+ Continually research and react expeditiously to external communications needs, providing constant and candid feedback to the Tervis Marketing Team about potential issues, threats, and opportunities.+ Plan and conduct public relations and media relations activities including but not limited to handling media requests and preparing/distribution of press materials (press releases, press kits, b-rolls, employee bios etc.). Monitor relevant media coverage for Tervis and provide monthly performance reports.+ Monitor expenditures and adhere to budgetary guidelines.+ Create a Crisis Communication Plan and, if needed, implement.Required Experience:+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or relevant field.+ 5+ years of public relations experience with tactical execution in a corporate environment with consumer-facing channels/messages.+ Proven experience and success in planning, developing, and executing communications strategies to achieve desired results.+ Must possess superior communications skills including excellent writing and editing skills.+ Strong project management and organizational skills.Keyword: PR, Contractor, Freelancer, Remote, FloridaFrom: Tervis
