This Partner Solution Architect position will work directly with some of our largest channel partners to build practices around our VMware Security solutions. This person should have strong passion for security and strong understanding of the security ecosystem to work with our partner technical counterparts (pre and post-sales) to drive technical enablement and understanding while also maintaining a strategy to help the partner build market differentiated solutions.**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**+ The primary objective of this position is to help our channel partners build practices around VMware security technologies.+ Within 60 days, become competent with VMware's Security messaging and solutions. You should be able to describe the use cases and the technologies that make up the solution.+ Within 90 days have a solid understanding of our partner ecosystem, resources, contacts, and existing programs. You will begin working with designated partners to identify key stakeholders and establish relationships. Determine where a partner is in their Security strategy. Begin assisting partners in building capability and capacity through driving education, certifications, accreditation, and competencies.+ Within 180 days you will become the trusted advisor to the partner for Security. You will be able to capture and promote successful partner deployments. Fully understand the partner's ecosystem and begin helping our partners build market differentiated solution offerings.**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**As part of the Network and Security Partner Solution Architect Team, you will:+ Enable a Partner's technical teams on VMware's Security message and products, provide technical oversight and assistance in design and implementation, ensuring partner success with their customers+ Build effective business relationships with VMware Channel Partner technical leaders, engineers, and professional services teams, communicating the value of VMware Security products+ Create and execute a practice development plan, working with partner business managers, other partner solution architects, and channel resources to help accelerate partner accreditation and certifications+ Advise partners in successful delivery services development and execution with their customers+ Maintain a cadence with partner practice leads to track progress and execution of services development, track deployments to showcase partner value and growth+ Work with partner Security teams to help them understand the VMware Security technologies, enabling them on our technology and messaging**What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?**The Hiring Manager for this role is Crystal Greenwood, Network and Security Partner Solution Architect Manager. She's built a strong technical and leadership background with roles in Network Engineering, Professional Services and Partner Solutions Architect, most recently taking on the role of manager for her team.She believes that leadership is not defined by title and encourages team members to be independent thinkers. She also encourages the team to live the values they all bring to the table to creatively solve problems.The team is made up of 9 dynamic and diverse technical individuals covering different areas of the network and security portfolio.
