Manhattan Partners have partnered with a Tech for Good start-up who have built a platform which is dedicated to revolutionise the way hiring works. The platform was developed using scientific research (Behavioral science & Psychology) and data driven methodologies to remove bias from recruitment processes. They are looking for a Lead Product Designer who is not only mission driven but also passionate about making the world a better and fairer place.

The Role

You'll be working closely with a highly effective department consisting of a UX Researcher, Product Manager, Head of Product and the wider Software Development team. The Lead Product Designer will have a huge impact on how user problems are identified, approached, and most importantly, solved. You'll consistently be learning as much as possible about their users and using this information to collaborate with the wider team and solve the customers/clients needs, the overall goal being to create and exceptional product to debias hiring processes. No prior lead experience is necessary in this role they are looking for someone who has solid UX & UI under their belt and will be passionate about a mission driven product.

Projects & Day to Day Duties

-You'll be working closely with the product and engineering teams from the get-go and working within their scrum process to make brilliant contributions to their product.

-You'll also work with the Product Manager and UX designer to build improvements to the platform and implement amazing design solutions.

-Contribute to product workshops and be continuously defining the product roadmap.

-By regularly speaking to users you will identify usability issues and then take these issues to the workshop and develop solutions.

-Holding 1 to 1s with junior members of the design team.

-Pave the way in which they approach product design.

Skills/Experience required

-Very strong communication skills to allow you to clearly and effectively communicate to the team regarding UX projects.

-Demonstratable UX & UI experience

-Self-starter with the ability and confidence to delegate and make decisions.

-Ability to use qualitive and quantitative metrics to translate how human behaviour relates to their product use and impacts visual design and UX.

-Visualisation design experience
