Job Description
A large client within the streaming domain is seeking a Sr. Product Architect to join their growing Product Architecture team. This team plans, designs, improves, and enhances, helps sale their infrastructure and systems. Due to continuous growth and the goal to expand their US and international operations they need a passionate Product Architect to join the team and help lead and develop plans. The ideal candidate has a passion for building teams and services that operate seamlessly together at scale. The client is looking for someone who can take the lead, make decisions, resolve conflict and issues that arise and is solutions oriented. The company and team so this is scaling massively so this is a huge opportunity to be a part of their growth.
Breakdown:
- Exploring the current system and infrastructure to identify strengths and weakness then create plans to resolve and improve any of those weaknesses
- Building out and leading a team of a Cloud, Scaling and Security Architects
- Creating product road maps for Core APIs and Infrastructure
- Partner with the Core Services and other engineering teams on the development
- Creating solutions and identifying ways to improve their backend system and application that consists if a number of microservices
- Project management and overseeing the completion of requests and developments
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of overall professional experience with over 4+ years of experience as a Cloud, Microservice or Scaling Architect for products that have scaled to 100Ks or millions of simultaneous users.
- Previous experience managing or leading of a team of Cloud Architects or backend Software Engineers
- Experience designing solutions
- SME in Cloud Architecture and microservice technologies and processes (should understand microservices patterns, best practices and hoe the communicate)
- Hands on experience with at least one Cloud Services provider (AWS, GCP, Azure etc)
- Familiarity with the following:
---- Kubernetes
---- Terraform
---- Serverless (ANY ex. AWS Lambda, Microsoft Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions and IBM OpenWhisk, etc.)
---- CI/CD pipelines (ANY ex. Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, Bamboo, etc.)
---- Logging systems (ANY ex. Loggly, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
---- Application Performance Management tools (ANY ex. Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics, etc.)
- Built servers with at least one of NodeJS, GoLang, Ruby, Java
- Good communication, verbal and written
