Job Summary The Pre Service Specialist performs all scheduling and pre-registration functions in a patient friendly courteous manner. Ensures that patient and family needs are met in a timely manner These include scheduling clinical services, conducting patient interviews, collecting and verifying demographic information, verification of insurance, financial responsibilities, and accurately entering system required information. Adheres to CoxHealth policies, federal, state, and regulatory agency requirements.
Job Requirements Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience Preferred: 1 year experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, billing or a related field. Skills Computer and keyboarding skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Knowledge of need for confidentiality and privacy Knowledge of insurance/3rd party payor requirements. Knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure/Certification/Registration N/A
