The Candidate are partnered with a global technology business who have successfully created bespoke software & website solutions to industries across the world. Known for their unique & high-quality approach to market, our client boasts a wide range of products which addresses major problems in industries such as Energy (EV), Fuel, Automotive, Telematic, Insurance & more. With exciting plans to expand their front end development team, our client is searching for a Front End React Developer to join their website team as they revamp and build greenfield experiences for hundreds of their global websites.
Built on a foundation of innovation, the Front End React Developer will be joining an established technical environment with the challenge of building their own team to address a key technical challenge they have faced over the years. Approaching a brand-new division, working in a hands-on role to build technical solutions to greenfield problems, the Front End Developer will be a react.js technical champion. Whilst also supporting the long-term strategic vision of the Lead Developer, the Front End Developer will be offered quick progression into a leadership role (which offers the chance to recruit your own team!) as you look to revamp the React.js front end across their international website presence. Although you don't need to get Involved in the back end, it's important you have knowledge of WordPress to build front end experiences which can seamlessly fit into their existing back-end CMS setup.
The team are entirely flexible around their working environment - if you were able to get into their Crewe based office at all, that could be great. If not, fully remote is absolutely fine!
Key Responsibilities of the Front End Developer:
- Build react component libraries and front end experiences from scratch on websites which are design to have global impacts for our clients brands
- Create unique, smooth and fluent front end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (react.js) whilst linking developments into the back end CMS (Wordpress)
- Remain up to date with modern technologies and methodologies, whilst having a keen eye on opportunities for you to create the most advanced front end team on the market. The team are really autonomous in their ways of working, so it's important that the Front End Developer is an 'ideas person' who is driven by challenging the norm.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Exceptional knowledge across React.js with proven commercial front end builds using the JavaScript framework
- Motivated to achieve with an ability to generate creative ideas to technical issues which affect hundreds of the world's most renowned websites.
- Comfortable developing in an agile environment with an established CI/CD pipeline
- It would be advantageous if the successful candidate had an eye for design, with any UX experience a bonus due to the creative nature of their front end roadmap in the department
- Understanding of WordPress as a back end CMS although you will not be excepted to deep dive into WordPress development on the regular
