Remote Senior QA UI or API Automation Engineer

Kforce is seeking a Remote Senior QA UI or API Automation Engineer. This is a 100% remote position including after COVID. This position is responsible for owning the quality assurance of the IT organization and supporting other needs and requests from engineering. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.Responsibilities of the Senior QA UI or API Automation Engineer: * Senior QA UI or API Automation Engineer will be designing and developing test cases for large and complex software applications within the scope of a broader test strategy * Analyzing and translating business requirements, existing manual test and identifying test cases for automation * Setting up and continuously improving testing process * Performing test execution and capturing test results for overall reporting needs * Designing and creating automation scripts to test feature functionality * Senior QA UI or API Automation Engineer will be utilizing automation tools such as Selenium and Jasmine to leverage automation scripts for future regression testing * Integrating automation approach within CI/CD pipeline * Identifying and tracking system defects, performing root cause analysis of defects and working with project team to resolve them * As a Senior QA UI or API Automation Engineer, you will be completing verification and validation of defects and testing activities * Advocating for software quality assurance best practices * Providing mentorship to Quality Assurance Analysts to write better automation tests and increase the test coverage * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * 5 years of minimum related technical experience * 5 years of automation experience in Java or JavaScript development, scripting and automation * 3-5 years of hands-on experience in creating automation scripts with Selenium WebDriver Java or JavaScript automation frameworks such as Jasmine preferred Preferred experience working with: * Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript / React, Java and Spring * Git and Bitbucket * Understanding of and experience in microservices Configuring or implementing build or release management tools such as Jenkins * Docker, Kubernetes and AWS * Performance and security strategies and tools * Test case management tools such as TestRail * Atlassian products and integrations such as JIRA and Confluence * Performance and Security strategies and tools * Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) * Test parallelization using Cypress * Performance, load and stress testing * Mac OS experience and UNIX commands * Mobile test automation experience (iOS, Android) * Ability to express concepts using clear, effective and efficient language and adapt to the purpose of the communication with appropriate style, substance and detail * Ability to focus on key priorities, plan, organize, schedule and execute on tasks and projects in an efficient and productive manner driving projects to successful completion to deliver the intended business value and outcome * Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines while delivering high quality results * Good judgment in solving problems, identifying prob Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
