Broadridge is hiring! We are looking for a Securities Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role will be remote. The analyst will assist the Security Master/Instrument Data Business Analyst team in supporting the Security Master development cycle for features being built into the Broadridge Reference Data and Market Data solutions, including user story development and implementation support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role will focus primarily on building requirements and workflows for the creation, maintenance and reconciliation of securities (instrument data).
  • The candidate is expected to have a strong business analyst background and technical knowledge of API messaging and file processing
  • A strong command of articulating dataflows and system interdependencies is required.
  • The candidate must have experience in writing Business and Functional requirements (BRD and FRD), presenting the requirements to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and gaining consensus/sign-off.
  • Ability to work with Development and QA teams to explain requirements, testing approach and test cases.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently, take initiative and to meet deliverables/deadlines.
  • The position requires strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to be able to interface regularly with the Development team, other internal Business teams and the Client (both Business and Technical teams).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong securities data management and reference data experience
  • Extensive experience with requirements build/development build in data management/security master/fixed income/equities
  • Participation and follow-through in all phases of SDLC lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Visio, and Atlassian JIRA/Confluence applications
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Familiarity with JSON and XML formats
  • Software engineering degree or software development experience preferred
  • Prior working experience in Financial Technology industry
  • Prior experience in Instrument Data and Security Master concepts is required for this role
