Consumer Compliance Analyst – Fintech – Remote
 
About the Role:
 
We are seeking a Compliance Analyst with experience in consumer protection regulations to help administer and further develop compliance program procedures and controls. Your contributions will fundamentally impact the effectiveness of our consumer compliance program.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Consumer Compliance Operations
  • Assist with administration of all consumer compliance program processes
  • Conduct QA testing of controls and track corrective actions
  • Maintain policies and procedures
  • Monitor and identify trends in customer complaints and disputes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet compliance requirements, and recommend and develop frontline QC approaches
  • Identify and assist with preparing KRI and KPI metric compliance risk reporting
  • Help to build a strong culture of compliance across the company
 
Other Compliance Support
  • Assist with administration of third-party (vendor) risk management processes
  • Monitor sanctions and OFAC and PEP screening alerts
  • Administer compliance training program
 
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g. TISA, EFTA, FCRA, ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, FDCPA, GLBA); experience in vendor management, BSA/AML, OFAC regulations a plus
  • 2+ years' relevant experience in consumer compliance at a financial institution, consulting, fintech or regulatory agency; focus on electronic banking, depository services, payments and card transactions a plus
  • Demonstrated experience performing audits, QA, and/or controls testing procedures; look-back, impact, or statistical analysis experiences a plus
  • Demonstrated experience drafting audit or QA review reports; experience drafting QA testing procedures a plus
  • Experience with issues tracking and management
  • Working knowledge of RCSA and risk management a plus
  • Experience using business intelligence software and/or JIRA a plus
  • Self-starter, able to anticipate management needs, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment 
  • Meticulously organized with ability to successfully manage disparate assignments in parallel
  • Results-oriented and analytical, with ability to work independently and adaptively, to anticipate and mitigate friction points, and to take action to promptly resolve and learn from challenges
  • Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with colleagues in all functions at all levels who are working remotely
  • Skilled in both written and verbal communications with all levels of an organization
  • CRCM designation(s) or current candidacy a plus
Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including software licensing, partnership, capital markets, and professional services agreements; ability to evaluate significance and risk attendant with third-party relationships, and to review and negotiate agreements commensurate with level of significance and risk
  • Identify legal issues and risks throughout the business and relationships with third parties, and advise on appropriate risk mitigation 
  • Advise on compliance with consumer privacy and data protection law and regulation as it relates to the business, support development of a privacy and data governance program
  • Advise on employment, immigration, and other People-related work as needed
  • Assist with managing fundraising due diligence and preparing transaction documentation
  • Draft model agreements and provisions as needed and maintain templates
  • Contribute to a strong culture of compliance
