SOFTWARE ENGINEER

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build highly scalable and available API solutions for Change Healthcare customers using cloud technologies
  • Comprehend business requirements, create design specifications and validate business requirements with product teams to ensure full understanding of the business needs
  • Design and architect software solutions to meet functional requirements as well as non-functional requirements such as elasticity, scalability, reliability, and business continuity
  • Deploy applications in a hybrid cloud model and ensure integration of public and private cloud solutions
  • Deploy infrastructure and applications using continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
  • Ensure high quality software with the right balance of unit / integration / functional test automation
  • Monitor application resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor performance of applications and ensure application reliability and stability
  • COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES

  • The Cloud Developer / Sr. SW Engineer should be able to articulate the business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa to effectively communicate to product and business teams.
  • The Cloud Developer / Sr. SW Engineer should be able to articulate the technical issues in as simple lightly technical language to Sr. Management and Executive leadership during a SEV1 call
  • ANALYSIS

    The Cloud Developer / Sr Software Engineer should have experience in solving complex application and business problems related to functionality, technical design, and performance. They should have the ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems related to application performance and have a data driven approach to solving complex performance problems.

    INNOVATION

    The Cloud Developer / Sr. SW Engineer should have an innovation mindset to solving complex business problems and embrace the principles of Innovation framework of the company.

    JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING

    This job is very critical to both the direct and indirect customers of Change Healthcare. The job impacts both the Patient Care (Eligibility Checks) and Financial aspects (Claims) of Change Healthcare customers.


    QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • 6+ years of experience in software solution development
  • Proficiency with Java and Node JS
  • Proficiency with Rest API
  • Proficiency with multiple AWS Cloud Services
  • Proficiency with Docker
  • Proficiency with Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot)
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL based database for application development
  • Proficiency with Agile Scrum SDLC
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools/processes (Git/Maven/Jenkins/SonarQube/Jacoco/Junit preferred)
  • Good understanding of enterprise best practices
  • Application development in an AWS environment utilizing AWS services is required.
