Remote Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description

A client in the Northwest Houston area is looking for a remote Mid-Level Software Engineer to join their Solutions team. This team maintains a global manufacturing system and is also involved in developing the platform for operation management within the organization. The team is currently being built out and looking for candidates with an engineering mindset who will scale their platform for real-time optimization and data analysis. In order for the client to optimize productions it is crucial for this person to collect data using SQL from assembly line machines and create charts to understand trends. They also will be setting up and creating docker servers and be involved in container management. React and Socket.IO will be utilized in order to create dashboards. Other web development technologies that will be used are PHP, JavaScript (Node.js), and Python to build, maintain and support the software.

Minimum Requirements

3+ years in a software engineering role identifying problems, creating solutions and building tools or software from scratch



Well versed in configuring, managing and troubleshooting SQL



Experience setting up and managing servers for docker containers



Experience writing PHP or Node.JS Scripts in order to access databases



Experience creating web page using JavaScript and HTML



Strong understanding of logic more than syntax

Desired Skills

Experience using React to create dashboards (highly preferred)



Experience with Socket.IO to understand real-time communication



Python scripting
