Conducts Personal and Real Property reviews for DMA clients by reviewing client properties, Fixed Asset Ledgers, Personal Property Tax returns, and making and assisting with implementation of tax savings recommendations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review client's Fixed Asset Listing, Property Tax return and reconciliation (provided by Valuation Consultant) Return Fixed Asset Listing for misclassified assets-preliminary Review state and local laws and regulations for identification of preferences Conducts physical inspection and meet with production managers at client location Meet with client financial and accounting personnel to review Policy and Procedures Prepare trip notes detailing issues and opportunities for tax savings Produce and edit Report of Findings along with the Tax Manager to insure accuracy Meet with client to discuss implementation of Report of Finding and address liabilities Assist client tax department personnel with filings and changes in methodology Assist client in filing Amended Returns and Refund Request where applicable Negotiate assessment reduction directly to assessing authorities Represent and manage clients during formal appeals Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
