Summary:
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will dig deep into the Financial Tech business to help define the details of how to drive business results through technology! You will work on a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers and subject matter experts in an agile methodology to deliver on outcomes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Business Expertise: Partner with peer group, business partners and product management to learn business area/domain, while continuing to learn and grow.
• Research and requirements gathering: Using your technical skills, business skills and analytical skills, you will be able to help uncover requirements then translate those needs into user acceptance criteria for the business and engineers.
• Documentation & Organization: You are able to organize and help maintain process maps through clear & concise documentation skills. With these skills you have the ability to bridge gaps between the business and engineering teams. You keep detailed meeting notes important for knowledge sharing across the team(s).
• Problem Solving: You love the challenge of diving into problems and discovering root cause. You are able to balance between a deep dive and asking for assistance as needed. Ability to read and interpret code.
• Systems: Assist with task-based work items in the needed tool sets to drive transparency, communication and prioritization among the teams.
• Testing: You can assist with coordinating and reviewing test plans for outcomes. You can independently provide execution on testing as needed, (UAT, checkouts, etc.). Along with this testing coordination and execution, you have the willingness to learn testing methodologies and automation.
• Product Management: Ability to use product management principles to successfully complete and advance work as needed.
• Communication: Communication is key on our teams! Frequent and proactive communication across working teams ensures us that you are driving your work forward and ensuring there are no roadblocks for others.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Financial Investment knowledge preferred
• 3-5 Years Prior Experience in industry or business function
• Familiarity of agile & scrum development environments
• Comfort and ability to lead agile meetings such as daily standups, story refinement, sprint planning, etc.
• Experience managing team's work in JIRA and/or JIRA Align
• Fast learner, self-starter, and curious with a strong desire to learn new things and a willingness to experiment.
• Tech savvy in SQL queries, reading code
• Must have experience working hands-on with data – including data mapping between systems, data flows and integrations, and the importance of data integrity
• Willingness to explore and learn new technology with and without assistance.
• Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
• Ability to lean on strong communication skills to influence outcomes while approaching conflict with organizational savviness
• Bonus skills: Experience with Python, Git/GitLab, other technical knowledge
