We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Provider Enrollment Specialist I for our nationally based Emergency Medicine / Hospitalist Medicine team, working in a joint venture capacity with HCA . The Provider Enrollment Specialist I is responsible for ensuring a high quality, timely, and proper provider enrollment application and re-credentialing process for new hires.

A local presence in Clearwater, FL or Dallas, TX is preferred. With the right qualifications, this position may be staffed remotely. Ideally one should be located within the EST or CST time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review applications for all new providers for multiple contracts sites, payors and states.
  • Track and follow up on a timely basis to ensure completion of application process and submission to payors for approval.
  • Extensive and frequent verbal and written communications with Clinicians, state payors, insurance carriers, third party billing company, and internal staff to expedite Clinician enrollment and maximize billing opportunities.
  • Act proactively and build strong relationships with payors to facilitate enrollment and obtain provider billing numbers.
  • Utilize templates and prepare correspondence, inserting proper provider and group related information for submission of applications to payors.
  • Anticipate payor needs, proactively addressing and resolving issues with payors to ensure prompt application approvals.
  • Handle corrections or rejections of claims due to enrollment errors and/or claim submission requirements.
  • Convey issues and status of problems to Enrollment Management.
  • Ensure Held A/R enrollments are submitted on timely basis; maintain and work reports of non-compliant providers and held A/R to maximize income opportunities.
  • Update status of application in system databases and in Excel for accurate reporting.
  • Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision Healthcare is as secure as possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Able to consistently meet established production and quality goals/metrics in a high production environment
  • Able to work with high volume enrollments while multi-tasking and driving provider enrollments through to completion (for example: 10 contracts with 40 providers per contract)
  • Able to communicate and work well in a team environment
  • Consistently able to follow up on open items in a timely manner and effectively prioritize work daily
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong telephone skills
  • Solid organizational skills, with ability to consistently multi-task with strong attention to detail in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Must be comfortable in a work-from-home environment
  • Must meet company basic standards for working remotely
  • Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1+ years of provider enrollment experience in a fast paced, dynamic healthcare environment
  • 1+ years’ experience working with Government healthcare payors
  • Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate payor / provider enrollment databases for data management tasks, and Excel for updating prioritization reports
