SHIFT: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (some overtime may be necessary as needed)

ASSIGNMENT: This is a long term contract role, expected to last through March 2023. Come March 2023, we will re-evaluate the needs of the assignment and will evaluate any possibility for a permanent placement within the organization under the Human Resource division. For the duration of the contract assignment, we will be offering healthcare benefits, 401k eligibility and paid time off.

Job Summary:

The HRIS Analyst (Long Term Contract) is a Human Resource position reporting into the Corporate HR Manager. This position is responsible for the effective maintenance and ongoing management of the HRIS/Payroll System, UKG (formerly UltiPro).

This position is also responsible for reporting, analytics and day to day system troubleshooting and compliance. The HRIS Specialist is responsible for serving as the functional expert for the organization's HRIS/Payroll system and provide outstanding support to ensure data integrity and accuracy for all HRIS/Payroll transactions, procedures, report writing, and processes. The HRIS Specialist will partner with HR Reps and Payroll to collaborate on projects and daily priorities including but not limited to organization/position management , employee onboarding, payroll, benefits administration and dash boarding/analytics.

Experience Required In Order To Be Considered:

  • 5-7 years related professional experience in a similar role
  • Understanding and/or experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources and Benefits required
  • Experience with UKG report building and presenting metrics to management required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel User
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and provide the necessary attention to the details required in HRIS and Payroll administration
  • Understanding of HR functions outside of the Analyst role (i.e. Benefits, Policy, Staffing, etc).
  • Daily Functions:

  • System Administrator for the ongoing configuration, integrations, and management of HRIS/Payroll System, UKG
  • Actively seek out knowledge on system modules and functionality
  • Act as Security Administrator responsible for all phases of system security including user/role updates, password resets and role review audits
  • Create and maintains monthly metrics for HR dashboard
  • Seek continuous improvement to consistently research new metrics and analytics 
  • Evaluate, test, and implement HRIS/Payroll system enhancements, upgrades and troubleshooting
  • Analyze data and provide analytical reports to internal customers on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Leads the day-to-day functional workflow including providing the HR/Payroll department team members with leadership, direction, and training, as well as leading continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Understands system requirements and ensures administration of data alignment with HRIS, Payroll and legal requirements
  • Assure company compliance with ACA reporting, EEO, payroll/tax updates, company audits and other laws and mandates that arise
  • Responsible for open enrollment participation, online session development, plan structure updates, feed file management, plan and rate updates and daily benefits reporting and auditing
  • Serves as company liaison and system administrator to UKG
  • Identify, understand, and communicate all UKG updates, events, problems and solutions to HR/Payroll Dept.
  • Dvelope UKG tutorials and trair users upon request
  • Set up demos and recommend adoption of future UKG enhancements
  • Responsible for transmission of biweekly 401k contribution and participant files
  • Works with users to support functionality and troubleshoot system-related problems Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
  • Must be able to independently prioritize assignments based on urgency and communicate timelines effectively, Strong follow up skills
  • Must be able to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality
  • Must be able to identify areas of improvement and develop creative solutions
  • Must be able to identify system glitches, inaccurate set ups and troubleshoot effectively
  • Superior organization skills, quality and accuracy on all functions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Education and/ or Work Experience Requirements

  • Preferred BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related degree, or equivalent in experience
