Systems Analyst in Clinical operations 

MedZed is re-imagining the house call. Will you innovate with us? MedZed is a fast-paced organization focused on inspiring and enabling better health. MedZed utilizes technology to bring healthcare to complex patients in their homes. Our Tech team is developing and implementing a data analytics platform with related business applications to scale MedZed from a start-up operating in 4 states to a national leader. We are seeking an individual to join our globally distributed team. 

As a System Analyst, you be instrumental in collecting and analyzing the operational and clinical information needed to streamline our ongoing clinical operations, ensure high patient care, and fulfill contractual requirements. You will work closely with our clinical and operations management, data and technology teams, and finance department to gather analytics and what-if requirements, collect data, implement small-scale investigations, and prepare technical communication artifacts either in MS Excel, PowerBI, or PowerPoint. 

Duty areas fulfilled by candidate: 

  • BI and Data Development 

  • Work with imperfect or dirty data to create internal and external facing BI deliverables using PowerBI, Excel, SQL 

  • Create, modify, and reuse the required ETL pipelines from Salesforce and other sources 

  • Understand complex business rules dictated by health plan contracts on enrollment, eligibility, clinical and social care, SLA fulfillment 

  • Understand data anomalies that can distort accurate data deliverables 

  • Economic analysis 

  • Understand how to model and forecast unit costs to explore what-ifs and validate operational hypotheses 

  • Understand how to find economic efficiencies and optimizations in business process and seek continuous improvement 

  • Understand optimization trade-offs and how to balance supply and demand of expense or scarce resources in the pursuit of our business 

  • Maintain and improve supply/demand resource capacity models 

  • Business Process reengineering 

  • Understand how to model business processes, across diverse roles, geographies, areas of focus, and internal product types 

  • Understand the impact of change management on rules and functions and how to design changes that lead to economic efficiencies 

  • Able to lead the communication around productive BPM reengineering at the detailed level, including defining statuses, metrics, dashboards, objectives, conflicting priorities, and incentives 

  • Qualifications 

  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify resolutions 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, math, statistics, finance, accounting, or a related analytical or technical field 

  • 2+ years of systems analysis in such areas as business process modeling, budget forecasting for healthcare operations, PMO 

  • Working proficiency of Excel, Word, PowerPoint 

  • Basic proficiency of SQL, relational database design, dimensional data warehouse design, and data lake design 

  • Experience with hands-on project coordination or project management nice to have 

  • Experience in health care domain nice to have
