General Summary:
The Business Applications Manager is a full-time position leading multiple application teams. The manager will ensure that the organization successfully implements and supports integrated modules of the Epic electronic health record (EHR), the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and various third party applications that support patient care and business functions within Healthcare Organization. Work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent management and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead and provide direction for the application team to support business operations.
2. Partners with operational leadership to provide guidance and recommendations on application functionality to support business operations and meet strategic goals.
3. Ensures supply of resources meets work demand and all teams are trained and compliant with standards, best practices and change control.
4. Leads strategic initiatives, simultaneous projects and major enhancements.
5. Solves highly complex problems and develops solutions to tasks or projects which may be unique.
6. Operates under deadlines and extreme workloads.
7. Represents the Epic and Applications department at leadership and departmental meetings.
8. Manages multiple vendor relationships, support and deliverables.
9. Works with team to analyze new functionality and recommend how it should be used and prioritize and implement requested changes to the system.
10. Direct and lead planning efforts for the implementation of new ERP and EHR applications, upgrades, and system changes.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Work Experience/Requirements:
• Minimum five years' work experience within information technology or applicable area of healthcare.
• One to two years' experience with managing application teams, build and configuration, and testing.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical or revenue cycle practices and principles.
• Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an efficient workflow.
• Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.

Preferred:
• Epic or other EHR implementation experience
• Three or more years of management experience

Certification/License:
Certification in one or more Epic applications preferred.
