Join the Portal Framework team as a Senior or Principal Backend Software Engineer where you will add new components, refine existing components, and find new ways to improve the development experience. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build scalable systems, libraries, and frameworks
  • Develop APIs and web microservices
  • Integrate third-party APIs, and the ability to understand them in several formats
  • Architect and build scalable systems, libraries, and frameworks
  • Write backend code using Scala
  • Contribute to frontend code stack in React
  • Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical role or the equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of real industry experience in Backend software development
  • 4+ years coding experience with Scala/Java or other compiled language
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching
  • Commercial experience with distributed, high-performance systems
  • Experience with cloud-based services and hosting (AWS and Azure)
  • Exposure to JavaScript-based frameworks like React or Angular
