Maintenance at Home Technician

Brethren Care Village, located in Ashland, Ohio is hiring a Maintenance at Home Technician. This position is PRN.

The Maintenance at Home Technician supports our mission and values by maintaining facility equipment, buildings and grounds in a safe, efficient manner according to facility guidelines.

What will I do in this role?

• Respects and shows kindness to all residents.
• Perform routine maintenance/repair on residential homes to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc. as directed. This also includes all grounds, mowing, and snow removal equipment.
• Replace burned out light bulbs including overhead lights, and perform cleaning of lenses as directed. This includes all outside lights as well.
• Painting inside and outside of home.
• Reports any problems to Director of Facilities.
• Follow all established safety procedures and precautions at all times, including lockout tagout and all electrical safety procedures.
• Maintain all personal protective equipment and devices in good working condition.
• Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and unusual events to supervisor.

What is required in this position?

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Prior experience in general maintenance preferred.
• Must possess ability to learn new areas and comprehend facility regulations.
• Current, valid and clean Ohio Drivers License
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment
