Summary
Job Summary The Insurance Billing Supervisor (HSIBS) is responsible for support and all supervisory functions for employees performing any or all activities related to: attaining and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of coding and billing protocols and documentation requirements and guidelines by payers; timely and effective billing and denial management; applicable payer systems/websites; CoxHealth at Home (CHAH) office guidelines and procedures; CHAH Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy/Cox Health computer systems/software; necessary to perform assigned activities. The HSIBS is responsible for running and compiling monthly A/R financial reports as well as special A/R reports in the operating system. Additionally responsible for attaining and maintaining wide-ranging knowledge of all office functions with which the functions of this position interact, as well as, attaining and maintaining the capability to manage multiple tasks. The HSIBS is also responsible for updating payer information and pricing in the EMR system. The HSIBS also performs any other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience Required: Previous experience in healthcare billing Preferred: Previous supervisory experience and knowledge of accounting principles Skills Proficient with computerized financial systems Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs Licensure/Certification/Registration N/A Additional Information
