Duties will include:Provides remote system administration support, system maintenance, and operation of Windows/Unix workstations.Troubleshoots problems and applies resolutions remotely.Resolves desktop problems and service requests such as software installs remotely using tools such as SMS, Remote Desktop Connection, Active Directory, etc.General Requirements:The Digital Services Technician shall possess the following capabilities:Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problemsProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningCandidate MUST complete training during the first several months on contract, for this position. Day-shift training is required. Certifications Required:(A+/Net+, or higher cert required upon submission.)Desired Requirements:Must meet contract level requirements for appropriate position. Candidate's experience should include a minimum of 2 years of experience with technical background in diverse operating systems (Windows XP is a must), hardware platforms and software packages.Use/Knowledge of a Ticketing system, knowledge of Remedy is a plusComputer hardware architecture knowledgeMust have software installation and troubleshooting experienceMicrosoft Exchange knowledge and troubleshootingUse/knowledge Microsoft Office ApplicationsUse/knowledge of Active DirectoryUse/knowledge Network and Internet Applications and ProtocolsMust possess good communication and customer service skills.Candidate must be a team player and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to Multi-task and adapt to a dynamic work environment.(Candidate shall have appropriate certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Category IAT Level I. A+/Net+, or higher cert required.)** This position is Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.Education: Five (5) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Clearance: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE!!!
