Seeking an experienced Imaging Specialist to service medical imaging equipment (GE, Siemens, Philips, Fuji, and Shimadzu). Be able to service general radiology and fluoro equipment including portable and C-arms. Preferred: existing experience servicing multiple modalities (i.e. X-ray, Cath Lab, MRI) Must have a MINIMUM of 3 years experience servicing medical imaging (general R&F, low-end radiology systems, c-arms, etc.) Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation used in health care delivery field by performing the following duties. Inspects and installs medical and related technical equipment in medical facilities. Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical x-ray equipment. Safety tests medical equipment to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards. Consults with staff to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely. Demonstrates and explains correct operation of equipment to facility staff. Modifies or develops devices under supervision. Serves as a resource to other service engineers and technicians in two to three modalities. This position is required to take after hours call and respond as necessary. Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
Must possess specialized training by manufacturer or third party equipment repair in such areas as nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment.Must possess working knowledge of radiation physics, medical terminology, medical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, imaging service techniques, 21 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations).Must possess broad knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical and radiology equipment service and repair.
