Job Purpose & Impact

AnswerLab is looking for a Conversion Copywriter, or a Senior Copywriter interested in learning conversion copywriting, to join our team full-time remotely.

The Conversion Copywriter is responsible for increasing AnswerLab's subscriptions by understanding the client's journey and using that knowledge to craft compelling communications.

We would love to hear from you if you're a creative problem solver who's skilled in thinking strategically and writes with exceptional quality and amazing speed. You combine the art and science of conversion copywriting masterfully. You're the one everyone goes to when it's time to simplify complex concepts into ideas, email sequences, pages and, ultimately, phrases that move. And you always know the Why behind every word you write.

Job Responsibilities

Your job isn't to write. Your job is to move people to say yes. And here's how you'll do that here:

* Envision and help develop strategies, messaging and copy for integrated digital, direct and social projects
* Take a project from A to Z, writing emails, pages and more
* Work with our Strategy and Business Development team to craft compelling emails, reach out to clients and engage them in conversations
* Analyze the results of outreach campaigns and continuously tweak the method and writing
* Apply your knowledge of UX and persuasion to every task
* Participate fully in account plans and team meetings to help identify strategies and tactics that will be compelling for email campaigns
* Run the quarterly account planning program to ensure that the company has a forum to identify themes for campaigns
* Follow and champion a data-first approach to crafting copy, with data and data-driven insights
* Collaborate fully with our Strategy and Research teams to translate client desires into innovative, viable and conversion-focused strategies, concepts and copy
* Write persuasively and on-brand for a variety of brands and audiences
* Present concepts and copy in a compelling, persuasive manner, with confidence
* Offer constructive criticism swiftly and thoughtfully
* Organize and execute on monthly lead generation webinar programs run by the marketing team

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We understand that outstanding candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds. While specific experience is important, we are ultimately looking for candidates who have the personal characteristics to thrive in a growing client-focused business. The ideal candidate will likely meet many or most of the job criteria listed below.

* 2-5 years' agency or in-house experience in copywriting
* A degree in English, Marketing or Science
* A portfolio demonstrating the skills required to get the yes (leads, trial starts, sales, referrals)
* Proven experience developing progressive digital projects
* Demonstrated ability to rationalize, judge and organize ideas
* Incredible attention to detail, organizational skills and time management
* A strong passion for the work

If you're a qualified, passionate Senior Copywriter or Senior Conversion Copywriter, we would love to hear from you!
