The eCommerce Pricing Analyst supports our development of the strategic pricing capability processes across our eCommerce CPG channels. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing pricing analytics & scenarios, provide key pricing insights across key product categories and supporting effective pricing decision-making across our eCommerce CPG commercial teams. Key responsibilities for this role include integration of information from multiple data sources, providing an advanced level of pricing analytics, communicating clear and actionable recommendations to drive growth and profitability across our online channels. This includes analysis in the areas of pricing strategy, promotions strategy and tactics, market trends, product volume, margin, and competitive pricing. The position requires a high level of collaboration with internal and external business partners.

This is a full-time position. General schedule is 8am-5pm Monday - Friday. Part time or student schedules are not available.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Develop knowledge of products and competitive factors, working cross functionally with sales leadership, product management, marketing, procurement, and finance.
  • Manage the end-to-end pricing process for assigned area(s) of the business, with close coordination with data analytics to implement sustainable processes with unified data.
  • Develop, implement, and manage tools to evaluate / set item pricing, monitor profitability, and market price compliance.
  • Build reports, dashboards, to proactively monitor the market and see where prices should move up/down to drive positive return on investment.
  • Leverage data analysis / modeling to identify low margin items and influence future pricing / promotional actions with expected impact.
  • Leverage data to understand trends and identify opportunities to improve pricing systems and models.
  • Determine price optimization for category/product families as directed by leadership.
  • Analyzes competitive pricing in all markets and advises leadership of market opportunities, threats, trends, and key price points.
  • Understands how to use outside market research data to suggest price points that will support anticipated volumes at eCommerce/retail in a CPG environment.
  • Knows methodologies and data required to generate robust pricing strategies, and effectively works with cross-functional colleagues and external partners to implement these methodologies and acquire this data.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant pricing analytics experience in CPG environments with a strong preference for eCommerce retail pricing analytic/development experience.
  • The ability to work with imperfect data/information sets is critical.
  • Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data/numbers into key business insights that can be understood by various internal partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to use quantitative data & qualitative data to develop pricing strategies.
  • Excellent business and communication skills with proven ability to "influence" in a cross-functional environment.
  • Syndicated Data experience - Vendor Central, Retail Link, IRI, Nielsen, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skill and proven ability to manage complex data sets.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time with attention to detail.
