One of the fastest growing prominent Commercial Collection Agencies in the United States seeks a self-motivated problem solver to work remotely in our Brown & Joseph’s Litigation Department. You will oversee and navigate our client portfolios from initial litigation through post-judgment activity. Qualified candidates will have some knowledge of the civil litigation, legal forwarding and bankruptcy processes with 1-2 years working at a law firm or legal setting. Desired candidates will have knowledge of the commercial collection process, however this is an administrative position.
Location: Brown & Joseph's Corporate Office in Itasca IL - Remote
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily via e-mail and telephone with clients and attorneys addressing accounts in the department
- Provide each client with a thorough review of their claim by reviewing collector notes, credit reports, fees associated with litigation, etc.
- Forward approved claims to outside counsel
- Follow up regularly with attorneys to insure our clients lawsuits are handled properly
- Assist clients with discovery responses and affidavits
- Prioritize daily work throughout the day to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to read and interpret documents {Invoices, Contract & Terms and Conditions for Insurance and Non-Insurance)
Requirements:
- 1-2 years in a law firm or collections setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent communication and written skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Prior client service experiences is a plus
